Deir Dourit is a village in the Chouf district of Mount Lebanon, located 45 km from Beirut. Situated at an elevation of 650 meters, the village is known for its green, tree-filled landscape and numerous springs. The local economy is based on agriculture, with residents cultivating grains like beans and green cowpeas, as well as fruit trees such as peaches and pears. The name "Deir Dourit" may be related to the nearby Deir el-Qamar, and a panoramic view of the Deir Dourit valley can be seen from the southern part of Deir el-Qamar.
